Winter Solstice 2013…

Hello everyone,

Winter solstice is upon us once again, Christmas and New Years are only just around the corner, and as-per usual this has meant a significant increase in the pliability of the quantum stream. Every year on the solstice, and for one full day only, iDGi-1 has been capable of perceiving the other side with far greater clarity. We’ve learned this to be a side effect of the connection between our worlds; the Consortium King on the other side is actually the one who receives a “boost” on this day and our iDGi-1 satellite simply rides the wave.

Right now our stream processor is running on overdrive and our quantum transcribers are working triple time to keep up. Oh, who am I kidding? I’ve kept them chained to their desks since the Kickstarter campaign! 😉

So what then does this “improved connection” mean for you? Well, it means that by the end of today we should have everything we need to completely finish the experience and finally allow public use of the iDGi-1 satellite’s first-person quantum abilities. New information coming from the stream is dwindling quickly and this means we nearly have everything we need.

Our job then becomes cleanup. Even our best transcribers sometimes make mistakes in their process of converting information from the stream. These are what you might call “game bugs,” when in reality they are inconsistencies between their world and our reconstruction OF their world. These inconsistencies must be found and smoothed out, otherwise there’s no telling where the stream might take you. Keeping in mind too that iDGi-1 does not allow physical travel to another dimension; it more allows the experiencing of another dimension through a digital reconstruction using the Source Engine.

Without further confusion I am pleased to announce that full access to the iDGi-1 satellite, and the CONSORTIUM experience, will be available for purchase on Steam, January 6th, 2014. Mark your calendar! Call the babysitter! Make sure you paid that power bill! CONSORTIUM is an experience you’ll want to curl up into and disappear for hours. So get ready to dim the lights, crank those headphones, and I’ll see you on the other side! 😉
